The ITV’s Great British Driving Test – Men v Women was a one off quiz show to see who was better at driving: Men or Women. Obviously men won! For this project Ash Luecker created the web site and a Flash quiz – which gathered player’s scores and displayed them in a graph (see below).

My part of the project was to do the back-end server / database code (between Flash – PHP – Oracle DB). I wrote some PHP and ActionScript.

Lunar Lander is a fruit machine with a complex trail. It was developed to connect to a back-end server via sockets to get user and bet results details formatted in XML.

Unfortunately the timing of completing Lunar Lander collided with Gala concentrating on selling off the Gala Casino web site so it has still not been launched – but it may be launched in the future!

Due to this I have a fully playable standalone version of … Continue Reading

Race Caster (live: 2003)

Race Caster was my first game to go live on Gala Casino while working for Ash Luecker Ltd.

It’s a multi-betting horse racing game. I solely developed the game in Flash which connects to the server back-end via sockets to receive user and race details formatted in XML.

Went Live: 2003

Unfortunately Race Caster has been removed from the Gala Games site, due to someone winning one of the long shot bets.

Not all is lost though, because I have a fully playable standalone version of the game – if you would like to play it please get into … Continue Reading
